‘Sarah Jessica Parker will be producing. She was worried about doing another film after the bad reaction to the SATC2 movie, but a TV show is definitely something she wants to happen.’
Rumours have also been swirling around Hollywood that there will be a film prequel based on Candace Bushnell's novel 'The Carrie Diaries,' telling the tales of Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte's lives before they became Manhattan social butterflies.
The New York Post is also reporting a possible prequel TV series as well to be aired on the CW channel, home of hit New York City drama Gossip Girl.
Blake Lively, Elizabeth Olsen, Selena Gomez, and Emma Roberts have both been tipped to play the younger characters but it's not confirmed whether that is for the the big or small screen - or both.
Along with reprising her signature role, Sarah Jessica has her hands very full juggling marriage and motherhood to son James Wilkie and twins, Loretta and Tabitha.
The TV and film star admits that it is sometimes challenging being a working mother, especially when husband and actor, Matthew Broderick is busy on set too.
'We’ve had two occasions recently where both Matthew and I were working, and it was so hard on the kids,' she explained.
'Especially James Wilkie, because he can really articulate how he feels about our absence. On the other hand, there are big chunks of time when we’re home a lot more than conventionally working parents. So you hope to make up for it.'
