http://youtu.be/ImyFNyBges8

Asteroid named 2011MD will whiz on Monday so close to Earth, so the inhabitants of the southern hemisphere will be able to observe it with the telescope.

Scientists working within the LINEAR asteroid they spotted the asteroid from the base in New Mexico. The asteroid will pass at 12,000 kilometers from Earth, which is 32 times closer than the Moon.

-The scientists are saying that they are confident that the asteroid will miss us , but if the asteroid enters the atmosphere, the asteroid of this size will burn and turn into a magnificent fireworks and is likely to dissipate in a few meteorites.

The asteroid should be closest to Earth on Monday at 13:30 hours, and somewhere over the Atlantic. And, even amateur and astronomers from Australia and New Zealand will be able to see it when it is closest to our planet.
