Macedonia is rich in cultural, artistic and historical monuments. It also has much natural beauty and rarities, and visitors are often referred to as the "Pearl of the Balkans". Because of its natural beauty and cultural heritage is very attractive for tourists.It was developed with summer and winter tourism,eco tourism and cultural tourism, with over 1,000 churches and monasteries, and over 4,200 archaeological finding places.
Macedonia is the only European finding place for rubies.
